Land Clearing, Brush Removal and Forestry Mulching Services For Skagit County Including Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro Woolley, and Anacortes.

Bell Forestry Mulching owns and operates the industry’s leading specialized equipment used for forestry mulching and land clearing.

Forestry mulching is the most cost effective, and eco-friendly way to clear your land or parcel.

  • No Debris To Haul Away
  • No ugly piles of brush to look at
  • No burning to pollute the environment
  • No expensive haul away fees
  • Saves time

The equipment instantly shreds into fine mulch:

  • Dense Overgrowth
  • Shrubs
  • Bushes
  • Small Trees

This method of land clearing results in composting the ground up vegetation into the soil. Leaving this new topsoil in place adds valuable nutrients back into the soil. Most of our client’s plant grass seed immediately when we are done.

Forestry Mulching - Our Process

At Bell Forestry Mulching, we typically mobilize to each project with an excavator and dedicated forestry mulching equipment. The excavator machine removes unwanted trees in whole including the stumps, gently grades out the high and low spots of the area, and removes the vegetation and brush by the roots. We can be very selective in the process. The mature, desirable trees and plants are left untouched.

As the final step we mulch the vegetation into the top layer of soil, leaving a fine layer of mulch on the ground.

The result is what we refer to as a “park like appearance”, adding beauty, functionality, and value to your land.

WHAT IS FORESTRY MULCHING?

Forestry mulching is a superior method of land clearing. The process offers a wide range of advantages to both the environment and the client.

Bell Forestry Mulching owns advanced forestry machinery that instantly shreds dense overgrowth, unwanted trees, shrubs, and bushes in place. Clearing land utilizing this method results in composting the trees and vegetation into the soil.  Adding mulch amends the topsoil promoting re-fertilization, and the resulting material acts as a natural erosion control.

Mulching also eliminates the need for expensive trucking/hauling costs and burn piles that have a negative impact on air quality for our County.

Our method is very cost-effective and environmentally friendly in comparison to traditional land clearing practices.

FORESTRY MULCHING - THE PROCESS

At Bell Forestry Mulching, we utilize both Excavators and dedicated Forestry Mulching equipment.

The Excavator removes undesirable trees in whole with the stump, gently grades out the high and low spots of the area and removes the vegetation and brush by the roots.  We can be very selective in the process.  The mature, desirable trees and plants are left untouched.

As the final step, we mulch the vegetation into the top layer of soil, leaving a fine layer of mulch on the ground.

The result is what we refer to as a "park like appearance", adding beauty, functionality, and value to your land.

STEEP HILLSIDE CLEARING

Bell Forestry Mulching uses Excavators equipped with Forestry attachments to clear sides of driveways, hillsides, difficult slopes, ditches and other hard to reach areas.

Our machinery gives us the ability to climb hillsides where other machines simply cannot go.

Our flail mower attachment is an environmentally friendly alternative to "ripping and pulling" vegetation by the roots.

It's useful in areas where keeping plant root systems in place is desirable or even critical, and the process of "ripping and pulling" would damage the integrity of the surrounding landscape.

Our system is also capable of removing the top vegetation from brush and trees eliminating the need for intense and expensive hand labor.

MARKETABLE TIMBER HARVESTING

As part of our customers land management program, there may be trees on the parcel that are worth money that need to be removed for a variety of reasons.  Bell Forestry Mulching partners with Logging Contractors that can sell your trees to a local sawmill. The cash return is based on factors such as size, quantity, and the quality of the timber.
